Running a business through trial and error is costly. Most mistakes made in business result in financial losses. Therefore, it’s too expensive to run a business on guesswork.

It is quite difficult to get a business to generate revenue consistently to break even or make a profit year after year. To avoid many challenges, one must have some, if not all, of the characteristics listed below to run a business smoothly.

I have compiled a list of characteristics that every business owner and manager should have or begin to consider.

1. A distinguishing trait, quality, or property.
2. The integral part of a thing that helps to identify or define it.
